Twice-monthly, Guelph Politico posts the latest inspection results from the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Unit inspection of local restaurants, hotels, cafes, grocery stores and other businesses that handle food. We call it "Mangez!", and this column highlights the latest inspections done by WDGPH, and the results they've posted.

- Cleaning required around, under, and behind kitchen equipment, counters, and baseboards
- Remove all materials not associated with the daily operation of food premises
Milano Pizza, 79 Macdonell St (4 Non-Critical Infractions)
- Remove and store garbage as necessary to maintain sanitary conditions; Provide sufficient garbage containers of durable / leak proof / non-absorbent material
- Contact licensed pest control operator for insect / rodent / pest treatment and control; Ensure premise is kept free from insects, rodents and other pests
- Cleaning required around, under, and behind kitchen equipment, counters, and baseboards; Ensure floors are kept clean and in good repair; Ensure ceilings are kept clean and in good repair; Store food at least 15 cm (6 inches) off the floor; Ensure floors, walls, and ceilings are tight, smooth, and non-absorbent
- Maintain the premises in a clean and sanitary condition; Remove all materials not associated with the daily operation of food premises

- Ensure walls are kept clean and in good repair
- Remove all materials not associated with the daily operation of food premises
*Critical infraction: A violation found during an inspection that could be a health hazard.
Zest Cafe, 6A-650 Woodlawn Rd W (1 Critical, 2 Non-Critical)
- Critical: Thaw all hazardous foods maintaining a temperature of 4°C (40°F) or less
- Non-Critical: Provide an easily readable, accurate indicating thermometer to check food storage temperatures; Ensure hand wash basin is only used for hand washing and is not obstructed in any way
