Maude Barlow Has Words for Guelph City Council

Guelph City Council will be deciding on how to officially respond to Nestle's renewal for its Permit to Take Water in Aberfoyle on Monday. But if you thought the situation would pass before Maude Barlow had her say, you'd be wrong.

"I urge Guelph City Council to take the leadership needed to safeguard the watershed and drinking water for the community for generations to come," writes the National Chairperson for the Council of Canadians in a letter to council. "I ask that you vote to write a letter to the Ontario government urging them to reject the Aberfoyle permit and to place a moratorium on all bottled water takings."
You can read the full letter for yourself below.
