Longfield to Hold 2 Town Halls, and Debate an NDP Leader Candidate

Guelph MP Lloyd Longfield is going to have a busy couple of weeks with three big events, two informational, and one to engage in civil discourse with a colleague from across the aisle. If you like discussing the federal budget, electoral reform and/or mental health, then these are going to be good times ahead for you.
First up, the federal budget. The Trudeau government will drop it on Wednesday at 4 pm, but Longfield will be back on the Royal City on the Tuesday afterward to get local feedback. The Longfield-hosted Budget Town Hall will take place at the Evergreen Seniors Centre at 683 Woolwich St. on Tuesday March 28 at 7:30 am.
Then, on Thursday March 30, Longfield will wade back into the electoral reform debate when he faces off against NDP MP and Critic for Democratic Reform Nathan Cullen in what the local NDP office is actually characterizing as a "debate." The format for the debate is unknown, but it will be taking place at the Guelph Civic Museum at 52 Norfolk St. at 7 pm.
And finally, Longfield will be back in town hall mode the Friday after that on April 7 for what's being billed as a Mental Health Town Hall. Minister of Health Jane Philpott will also be in attendance for what's being called a "community discussion" to learn the priorities people would like as the federal government works with the provinces on mental health strategies. The town hall will be in the courtyard of the University Centre at 1 pm.
If you want to RSVP to either of the Longfield sponsored events you can either email at Lloyd.Longfield@parl.gc.ca or go the MP's Facebook page.
