Fresh Water Jam This Weekend

With all the drought lately, and the City being on Code Red water use-wise speaking, it's understandable that H2O issues are foremost in our minds. So it's with good timing that this weekend the Fresh Water Jam takes place at the Concert Shell in Riverside Park. Nothing says cherish our water resources like a long day of good times and good music, I know that sounds like sarcasm, but it's not.
On the schedule is a great line-up of musicians including: Bamidele Bajowa, Chynna Lewis, Anthony Damiao, Gayle Ackroyd, Peter Slack, Space Crayons, Shane Phillips, The Lullaby, Cornelius & The Damn Dirty Apes, and Éva LaPrairie. Below is the information straight from the event's website.
The 2012 Fresh Water Jamboree will be held at Riverside Park at the Concert Shell on Saturday August 4, 11 am to 11 pm, Rain or Shine.
We're expecting to see 1000 or 2000 people at the event this year. So many local musicians and artistic communities have become involved this year, it's quite exciting. The Fresh Water Jamboree was created to help bring focus and awareness to our depleting fresh water supply, and also to help promote local musicians and artists.
The day-long event will feature performances by a variety of musicians, groups and feater a Water Awareness presentation. There will also be Pizza, Hamburgers and Hotdogs, Ethiopian Food and refreshments will also be available at the event. There will be an exciting Kids area.
